The New Yorker: The Writer's Voice - New Fiction from The New Yorker

Valeria Luiselli reads her story “<a href="https://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2026/02/16/predictions-and-presentiments-fiction-valeria-luiselli">Predictions and Presentiments</a>” from the February 16 & 23, 2026, issue of the magazine. A winner of the International Dublin Literary Award, Lusielli is the author of five books, including “<a href="https://www.amazon.com/Tell-Me-How-Ends-Questions/dp/1566894956">Tell Me How It Ends: An Essay in 40 Questions</a>” and “<a href="https://www.amazon.com/Lost-Children-Archive-Valeria-Luiselli/dp/0525436464/">Lost Children Archive</a>.” A new novel, “<a href="https://www.amazon.com/Beginning-Middle-End-Valeria-Luiselli/dp/B0FY5NMR6Q/ref=tmm_hrd_swatch_0">Beginning Middle End</a>,” from which this story was adapted, will be published in July.
