Catapulting Over a Painful Past

Kim Anthony had talent but did not have the ‘look’ of a typical gymnast in the 1980s – she was African-American, too tall, and came from a poor family. But by the time she got to college, she had already overcome incredible odds: almost aborted; a drug-addicted father; a struggling single mom.
