As he moved into the New York City Police Department in 2003, he spent years in the "Plain Clothes Unit" as an under cover cop in dangerous Harlem, where he was able to study the crime habits of the city’s worst and most violent offenders. He is a Christian who has worked in ministry for over 15 years ranging from evangelism, caring for the homeless throughout New York to missionary work in Africa.
