Nearly one in five homes sold in San Francisco have sold at a loss in recent months – way above the national rate.
Murders, robberies, burglaries and widespread public drug use are forcing residents to flee the city – and putting off people from moving to what was once the hottest US property market.
The 17.8 percent of San Franciscans losing money on their home sale in the three months to the end of February is close to the highest level in a decade. And it is four times the national average of 4.3 percent.
In San Francisco, the typical homeowner who recently sold at a loss parted with their home for $155,500 less than they bought it for.
Nationwide, the average loss for the same period was around $40,000, data from real estate brokerage Redfin reveals.

This research project was published by these four authors at the nonpartisan National Bureau of Economic Research in late February and is just now making waves.

Buddy Carter (R-Ga.) introduced the Fair Tax Act, which included language to abolish the personal income tax and rein in the IRS.
But nothing has come of the Fair Tax Act, and even that bill would simply shift taxes from the personal income tax to a national consumption tax similar to European VAT taxes. America does not need another form of taxation, especially one where the level of tax can easily be raised, as with state sales taxes. What America needs is lower spending levels and the elimination of all taxes on individuals.

According to the Tax Foundation, these costs include $20 billion in filing costs alone, along with 1.352 billion hours of individuals time (at $50 per hour, equivalent to $67.6 billion), plus an additional 5 hours of record-keeping (much greater, or course, for complex returns) amounting to $41,75 billion. Thus, the total cost of preparing and filing federal taxes is $129.35 billion.

TYRANNY: House PASSES Bill to Renew FISA Warrantless Spy Program by 273-147 Vote – 126 Republicans Vote YES to Snoop on Americans Without Meaningful Limits

The House of Representatives on Friday passed legislation to continue their FISA warrantless spying on American citizens and give themselves a corrupt carveout from surveillance after hitting a snag earlier this week.

The final vote on Section 702 of the Foreign Surveillance Act was 273-147, with 126 Republicans in favor of betraying the American people. The legislation now heads to the Democrat-led Senate where it will presumably pass and then be signed into law by Joe Biden.
Section 702 is scheduled to expire on April 19.

US Commander Arrives in Israel To Discuss Potential Iranian Attack

Wall Street Journal Poll: Trump Has Nearly Doubled Support Among Black Men and Women Since 2020

According to a new Wall Street Journal poll, Trump’s support among black men and women has doubled since 2020.
Many people are attributing these gains to the crisis at the southern border, which is now seriously impacting American cities across the country, as well as inflation and the Biden economy.
Thirty percent of black men and 11 percent of black women intend to vote for former President Donald Trump in 2024, Wall Street Journal polling found Thursday, which is a significant increase from 2020 data.
Losing black support would be a blow to President Joe Biden’s reelection campaign.
Only 12 percent of black men voted for Trump in 2020, voting data shows. There is no compatible 2020 polling for black men.
In 2020, six percent of black women said they would vote for Trump, Associated Press polling found, five points less than the Journal‘s 2024 polling.

CISA Confirms Russian-Backed Hackers Behind Cyber Attack

The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) issued an emergency directive mandating urgent steps for federal agencies to mitigate the risk posed by the hacker group.
Specifically, the directive applies to federal civilian executive branch agencies (FCEB) targeted by Midnight Blizzard, a Russian state-sponsored actor that accessed Microsoft corporate email accounts.
CISA’s Thursday directive told federal agencies to take “steps to identify the full content of the agency correspondence with compromised Microsoft accounts and perform a cybersecurity impact analysis.”
They were also told to analyze potentially compromised emails, reset compromised credentials, and enhance security measures for privileged Microsoft Azure accounts.
In a statement, she emphasized the need for “immediate actions” by federal agencies to reduce risk to federal systems.
“For several years, the U.S. government has documented malicious cyber activity as a standard part of the Russian playbook; this latest compromise of Microsoft adds to their long list. We will continue efforts in collaboration with our federal government and private sector partners to protect and defend our systems from such threat activity.”
