Aaron Benanav on a framework for a post-capitalist economy - "Was ist der Plan?" Teil 4
The economy is broken, leading towards climate breakdown, oligarchic power and fascism. It's high time to deepen our understanding of how we can overcome capitalism and move towards a more egalitarian and sustainable society. In his research project "Beyond Capitalism" historian and economic theorist Aaron Benanav proposes a framework for constructing such a post-capitalist social order. Aaron joins Dissens to talk about the state of late stage capitalism, the vision of a democratized economy and what it takes for the left to win back the future.

<a href="https://www.aaronbenanav.com/">Aaron Benanav </a> is a historian, sociologist, and economic and social theorist. His research spans a variety of topics, including automation, histories of social and economic development and alternative economic systems. Aaron is the author of <a href="https://www.versobooks.com/products/2682-automation-and-the-future-of-work?srsltid=AfmBOoo7t2VqR6UhP3XNdb-2DWlhZvpttdPFEuLP3SvjahoTDrdQq-Gl">Automation and the Future of Work</a>, which was published by Verso in 2020 and has been translated into ten languages.
