<blockquote><p>It was a calm afternoon on Ahway Island. Allie and Raj were in Allie’s kitchen enjoying a snack of cheese and fruit as they waited for Andy and Owen to arrive for their play date. Raj was eating an orange, and Allie was eating some cheese.</p>
<p>Raj took a piece of orange peel and stretched it along his front teeth. He spread his lips in a wide smile so that all Allie could see was the orange peel in place of his teeth. It looked like he had a bright orange smile.</p>
<p>“That’s funny, Raj!” said Allie, laughing hard. She hadn’t ever seen anyone do that before. “Let me try!” she said.</p></blockquote>
