We come trembling, carrying the wounds of daughters, mothers, and mothers’ mothers. Teach us: how do we hold your rage and radiance without drowning in it?Mami Wata:Child of earth and water, look into my mirror.What you fear as rage is not madness — it is the surge of my tide.What you call radiance is not decoration — it is the gleam of my scales.Both are mine. Both are yours.Priestess:But Mother, when your waves rise too high, we are shattered. We call it trauma.
