First we drove up to east Memphis to be on <a href="https://geektankradio.wordpress.com/tag/98-1-the-max/" target="_blank" rel="ugc noopener noreferrer">98.1 The Max</a>&#39;s "<a href="https://geektankradio.wordpress.com/tag/geek-tank-radio/" target="_blank" rel="ugc noopener noreferrer">Geek Tank Radio</a>" show (<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QO_QYNxwrCA&list=PLXv6DYMyQaDnTBQ71EXcll3kjQ8k5rqFy&index=1">Ep. 7.05.2025</a>) with fellow geeks <a href="https://geektankradio.wordpress.com/tag/joe-thordardson/" target="_blank" rel="ugc noopener noreferrer">Joe Thordardson</a>, <a href="https://geektankradio.wordpress.com/tag/allan-gilbreath/" target="_blank" rel="ugc noopener noreferrer">Allan Gilbreath</a>, Max, and guest geek and voice actor Scott J. Carroll. We talked toons and discussed the <a href="http://www.midsouthcartoonists.org/" target="_blank" rel="ugc noopener noreferrer">Mid-South Cartoonists Association</a> and con community in the Memphis area. They put on the annual <a href="https://memphiscfc.com/" target="_blank" rel="ugc noopener noreferrer">Memphis Comic and Fantasy Con</a> which returns to the Memphis Hilton Hotel this November 1st. The MSCA will be set up at this one day event.After the recording session we jumped back in the car and headed up to <a href="https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61561815906384" target="_blank" rel="ugc noopener noreferrer">Comics Universe</a> in Jackson, TN to see our buddy <a href="https://www.ihatemike.com/" target="_blank" rel="ugc noopener noreferrer">Mike Norton</a>. We had a great time talking with Mike and long time comic shop owner "Lethal Rethel" Miller. I got a few books signed by Mike including my copy of "The Rock Gods Of Jackson, TN". Norton&#39;s first issue of “Krypto: The Last Dog Of Krypton” has hit stores, and his Image Comics series “<a href="https://www.imdb.com/title/tt13951052/?ref_=ttfc_ov_bk" target="_blank" rel="ugc noopener noreferrer">Revival</a>” is now a <a href="https://www.syfy.com/revival" target="_blank" rel="ugc noopener noreferrer">live action TV series</a> on <a href="https://www.syfy.com/revival" target="_blank" rel="ugc noopener noreferrer">SyFy</a>! The show stars Melanie Scrofano from “Wynonna Earp”, and can be seen on the <a href="https://www.syfy.com/revival" target="_blank" rel="ugc noopener noreferrer">SyFy channel</a> on Thursday nights, or streaming on Peacock and YouTube. And don’t forget that there’s still a little bit of time left to back Mike’s new <a href="https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/battlepug/battlepug-cosmic-doggyssey?ref=discovery&term=Battlepug&total_hits=3&category_id=252" target="_blank" rel="ugc noopener noreferrer">“Battlepug” book on Kickstarter</a>. Mike will be back at the <a href="https://www.facebook.com/memphiscomicexpo/" target="_blank" rel="ugc noopener noreferrer">Memphis Comic Expo/DonnieCon</a> in September, and I&#39;ll have a table at the show as well.Nicki and I stopped by <a href="https://www.comiccellaronline.com/" target="_blank" rel="ugc noopener noreferrer">The Cellar</a> comic shop on our way home.
