IDENTIFYING WHAT CUSTOMERS ACTUALLY NEED: Direct Research Sources: Comments (YouTube, socials, posts) Questions via email, phone, WhatsApp End every session: "What else do you need? What can I improve?" Monthly NPS questions (enriched version) The 3 NPS Questions: What was particularly helpful in getting you results this month? What's missing? What else do you need? 0-10: How likely are you to refer us? The "Piazza" Method: "In Italy, you go to the piazza to meet people. Now it's Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, podcasts—that's the modern piazza." Go on other people's podcasts = market research Run your own podcast = market research Every monologue comment section = market research AI Research Prompt: "These are my people. What are their top 3 problems? Where do they look for help? What do they write on Amazon/YouTube about similar offers? What do they hate? What needs aren't being met?" OPA Strategy (Other People's Audiences): Use AI to find top 10 competitors → Study their comment sections for trends → Add what's missing to your offer THE 1/10TH PRICING RULE: Don't look at competitor pricing. Look at value created: Add $200K to their life? Charge $20K (10%) Reduce costs by $30K? Charge $3K (10%) If No Results Yet: Take 5 clients for FREE for 3-6 months while doing other work. Get real results, then charge confidently with conviction. HOW TO DIFFERENTIATE (YOUR WEIRDNESS = COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGE): "Whatever makes you weird in social situations is your asset. Don't hide it—own it aggressively."
