The IRS is encouraging taxpayers to apply for a <a href="https://www.wsj.com/personal-finance/taxes/tax-identity-theft-ip-pin-irs-ab021643?mod=WSJ_YMBPOD">six-digit IP PIN</a> to protect their refund from fraudsters.
