Her first book, <a href="https://bookshop.org/a/10066/9780816526741" target="_blank">Corpse Whale</a> (University of Arizona Press, 2012), won the American Book Award and May Sarton Award. okpik was long-listed for the PEN American Award for <a href="https://bookshop.org/a/10066/9781950268634" target="_blank">Blood Snow</a> (Wave Books, 2022).
