关于Aphex Twin的资料甚少，且相互矛盾，这是Richard的性格使然。在它众多朋友对他的描述里，唯一众口一词的，是『Richard做音乐只为自己』。至于发行唱片和演出，只是他为得自由去赚钱罢了。
这个神秘的英国农村人，以Aphex Twin之名，一己之力拓宽了当代音乐的聆听界限，并坚持与任何社群、理念和所谓传承划清界限。一半人只当他是躲在机器后面的怪人，另一半人称他为赛博世界的先知。
总之，想要理解Aphex Twin，似乎还是躲不开『艺术是什么』的大哉问。
