Dr. Zack Kruse is scholar of literature and visual media, including comics, film, and television. He is the author Mysterious Travelers: Steve Ditko and the Search for a New Liberal Identity from University of Mississippi Press, and his publications have appeared in Critique: Studies in Contemporary Fiction, Inks: The Journal of the Comics Studies Society, Studies in Comics, and Source: Notes on the History of Art, among other places. Zack is also the President of the Advisory Board for the Michigan State University Comics Forum and previously served as the managing editor for The Journal of Popular Culture.
