After stopping an attack on a wealthy investment banker, Jericho and his partner Bobby Chicago (Kevin Pollack) start to investigate the shooter and find themselves in a religious battle between the church and Satan himself (Gabriel Byrne). If Satan can impregnate a specific woman, in this case Christine York (Robin Tunney), before midnight on December 31st, the gates of hell will open and the apocalypse will begin.&nbsp; Jericho has to find and protect Christine while dodging Satanists and anyone that Satan has brainwashed into becoming his minions.
